BEHIND THE SCENES OF OUR WORKSHOPS

Let’s push the doors of our French workshops together

Discover the secrets of our manufacturing Made in France

Go to the other side of the curtain and discover all the backstage of the creation of our leather goods from the first sketch through cutting, assembly and finishing.

A FRENCH KNOW-HOW

THROUGH ALL STAGES OF MANUFACTURING

Today, we invite you to push the doors of our family workshop together to discover all the love and know-how we bring to each of our creations.

Where are our products made?

Our entire range of bags, small leather goods and belts is handcrafted in two workshops: one located in Lyon and the other in Ile-de-France. As for our small customizable accessories, they come to life and are personalized in our workshop nestled at the back of our shop Passage Doré in Paris.

The creation phase

In search of the perfect design

We are fully committed to offering you timeless and practical pieces, designed to accompany you on a daily basis for many years. While remaining faithful to our vintage inspirations, and always with this touch of elegance that gives all its charm to our creations.

The colours and the jewellery

Once the design and the atmosphere of the collection are chosen, the choice of the jewel is crucial because it will give a certain identity to the creation. For the colors, we choose them according to our desires of the moment and seasonality without following trends.

Creation of the prototype

The validated design, the jewelry and colors chosen, we move to the creation of prototype to which we add our last modifications before being able to launch our production.

A Made in France artisanal manufacturing

PART 1

The cutting of the leather

First, we strive to select each skin with care. We then cut them with cutters made to measure in Paris while always being careful to respect the pattern of embossed.

PART 2

The laying of the jewelry

All the clasps of our bags are made and gilded in our Parisian workshops, while all our primers (bridges, magnets, shoulder straps buckles) are gilded with flash gilding in Europe. We then delicately apply the clasps and finishes by hand to the previously reinforced leather.

PART 3

The assembly and the sewing

All parts of the bags are assembled and sewn delicately in accordance with traditional know-how.

PART 4

The edge painting

The dyeing of the edges is done by hand, which is a real added value to the finishes of our bags. We always try to find the shade that is closest to leather. It is a very delicate step in the manufacturing process, a unique know-how that requires great precision.

Q&A

How do you select your leathers?

All our leathers are carefully selected exclusively in European tanneries: French, Italian or Spanish.

All our leathers are LWG silver certified and meet reach standards. We only work with non-exotic leathers such as cowhide, goat or calf leather in different finishes (smooth, embossed croco or lizard, velvet, grained, etc.).

Could you tell us more about the jewelry that adorns your creations and the gilding?

The clasps are made in France and gilded in our Parisian workshop that recycles its waste. The rest of the finishes (magnets, bridges, loops) come from an Italian factory and are also gold-plated in Italy.

Why do you produce in small quantities?

We manufacture all our creations in small quantities in our French workshops to guarantee a certain quality and avoid over-storage and over-consumption. For the same purpose, we sometimes offer pre-orders in order to optimize production in the face of real demand.
